Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. (March 17, 2023)– Segpay, a pioneer in digital payment processing, announced today that its CEO, Cathy Beardsley has been named one of South Florida Business Journal’s Influential Business Women of 2023. She and others selected were recognized today during a special luncheon at the Signature Grand in Davie, Florida.
Beardsley was honored for her strong record of leadership, performance, and innovation in the payments industry along with Segpay’s community involvement in South Florida. Cathy and the other honorees selected will be featured in South Florida Business Journal’s special section where each business woman shares her “Pearls of Wisdom” related to the ever-changing business environment.

As President and CEO at Segpay, she oversees the entire Segpay team as well as monitoring the latest payment industry challenges and changes to help her clients find the best payment solutions for their businesses. For Cathy, keeping clients safe and compliant is the most rewarding part of the role. Cathy is also a board member of the Free Speech Coalition. In 2022 Beardsley was also named one of Forbes 50 over 50 in Money, one of American Banker’s Most Influential Women in Payments and one of the Top-women-led Businesses in Florida by the Commonwealth Institute.
