Recapping XBiz Miami

We made it all the way back home from XBiz Miami. Sure, we reside only 40 minutes from the show’s 2017 venue, the Mondrian Hotel on South Beach, but anyone who has ever driven that stretch of I-95 knows it’s only slightly less stressful than dealing with airports.

Now that we’re back, we want to thank everyone who took the time to say hi and discuss your payment-related issues and wish lists for 2017 and beyond. We are thrilled that so many of you showed interest in our soon-to-be-announced full-service affiliate program, which will be free for merchants processing with SegPay. We expect to make that announcement in the next week or two, but you can reach out to us now if you are interested in learning how we can help you increase your traffic.

Cathy at XBIZ Miami

Cathy joined a panel of billing-industry pros to discuss best practices (hopefully you can see her in the admittedly smallish pic – the only one we have that captured the moment). The panel covered a number of key themes, as reported by XBiz.com:

Key topics were ways that merchants can dial in their fraud scrubbing tools to avoid chargebacks and friendly fraud, as well as the benefits of adding live chat for customer service, phone orders, cancellation upsells, membership extensions, and various other moneymaking opportunities using call centers. Using the U.S. versus foreign-based billing support, and the complexities of paying the worldwide base of affiliates, cam models, and more, along with the impact of VISA EU regulatory changes, merchant location rules, and the current needs of merchants, was also spotlighted.

Echoing our experience at the Phoenix Forum in April, talk of Virtual Reality dominated the week. This is clearly a big part of the future and, although the industry is still in the relatively early stages, we are already working with merchants investing in VR and we’ll be ready to scale up with you as things really start taking off.
