Get to Know a Segpay Employee: Patricia

We continue to build the Segpay team and are excited to share one of our newest members with you.  Meet Patricia!  Patricia is a member of our Sales Support Team.  She started working at Segpay in October of 2020.  She has a bubbly, positive personality and is fun to work with in the office.  We’re very happy to introduce her to her colleagues at Segpay and the merchant’s she be supports.

We’re so glad you’re on the team Patricia!  Where were you working before Segpay?

Thank you!  Before coming onboard at Segpay, I spent 12 years working for a chemical company as an account manager covering Latin American and the Caribbean.

Where did you grow up?

I was born in Bogota, Columbia.  I came to the U.S. after college because my dad decided to send me to America to learn English.  I was not happy with the idea at first, but I am still here and very happy I came.

What was your dream career when you were a kid?

I wanted to be a dancer.  I had the opportunity to participate in some dancing events but never became a professional.  I also wanted to be a race car driver.  Lol.

Where did you go to school and what did you study?

I went to school to be a teacher.  As soon as I graduated in Columbia, I came to the U.S., so I never got to teach kids unless you count teaching my own kids how to behave.

Any hobbies?

I love dancing and just spending time with my family and friends.  Travel is a must!

Any other unique or fun facts about you?

I am very proud of myself for getting to the place I am now.  Being an immigrant has its challenges.  I feel very lucky to be around such great people that helped guide me throughout my life.  It’s not easy to learn English, adjust to a new country and work in corporate America.  I’m thankful for my two kids, Christina and Diego- they mean the world to me.

Anything else you would like to share?

Attitude and smiles are a winning token, I practice that every day.  Also meet the new fury addition to our family – Tank! (pictured with Patricia)
