Segpay has made some important updates in response to Mastercard’s changes to its subscription rules. The new rules pertain to recurring billing and benefit consumers by providing clarity and transparency. Merchants should also experience fewer complaints and chargebacks.

The changes we’ve made involve Mastercard consumers receiving rebill notification emails in the following cases:

  •  Consumers will receive a rebill notification email for all approved Mastercard rebills.
  • For trials lasting 8 or more days, consumers will receive a charge notification email 3 days before the conversion date.
  • For rebills lasting 180 days or more between charges, consumers will receive a charge notification email 7 days before the rebill date.

Segpay will continue to clearly identify billing terms on Segpay pay pages and email notifications.
